Large 15 inch Shamanic drum
CIRCLE
This deep chocolate coloured rustic beauty captured my heart. As this powerful UNIQUE drum came into creation within my hands, I felt a rawness, a wildness, a diamond in the rough, an earthly heart connection. As this feeling held I saw a group of men and boys gathered in a circle within a jungle-like clearing like a setting of vast trees and steamy presence, stunning wilderness. True custodians of this beautiful place on Earth, their world within the world. The discussions appeared to be about tribal business, care and support, maintenance practicality, food and water animals tribal law. I was wondering about the women when I was transported to another clearing nearby where the woman, girls and small children sat also in circle ( dressed in animal skins and adorned with jewellery of natures gifts.) They laughed, giggled and held hands and danced in true connection, community, sisterhood, their bronzed gold feet kissing the earth with every gentle deliberate step, as swaddled babies drank from mammas breast and young ones swayed and chanted with the elders. This Community Circle of bonding and companionship caring and sharing was palpable, I felt so honoured and humbled to witness this. One of the elders blew on a great long ornate horn and they then walked in a single file to follow through the density of a jungle path and joined the mens circle. The men raised their arms in loving welcome as the women and children wove in and out around them then sat down as the men did the same ...linking them all together in a sacred Circle balance of masculine and feminine. A huge pot of maybe soup appeared and they each shared the task of ladling into shell like cups and sharing between them. It was an awesome and heart warming vision to see. VERY SYMBOLIC ...One people, one tribe, united in love, with no knowledge or thought for outer world but living in the moment and caring for each other and their environment.
Funnily enough I received this unique drums skin by mistake, how blessed I was to work with this tree-birthed hoop and marry the two together, life force of this wonderful animal still lives on with every beat of this powerful drum with its dark chocolate brown colouring and sprit dance imager on the face.

This NATIVE AMERICAN style drum is lovingly hand-crafted and blessed in Australia, using Goat Hide with a pine frame.
The drum is laced with strong pseudo sinew, allowing it further to weather various climatic conditions and still hold its tone.
The size being the large 15" X 3" (38cm X 7cm).
This DRUM has been lovingly hand crafted & blessed in Australia in a native American style & laced with the MEDICINE WHEEL weave representing the four directions, the four seasons, the four coloured people of MOTHER EARTH and the four states of our being etc. and each with their direct connection to Source... GREAT SPIRIT. The included beater is natural wood & leather. Drum Care instructions are also included.

This drums strong personality shines through in this artistic perfection. The versatile nature of Native Drums skins, invite us to play them in several ways and not necessarily just with the traditional Drum Beater. With both hands holding the frame and finger tapping, or just one hand, cupped hand, flat hand, finger tips or full finger striking while holding the drum at the back, standing or sitting or sitting crossed legged with the drum tilted, and also straddled between the knees and used as a bongo style drum. It can be held with the natural handle formed by the lacing on the back and other hand used to play, with or without the traditional beater of course …a drum for all reasons and seasons.
This is a creative loving instrument for healing & for connection to spirit & soul. In Native traditions it is believed that the drum is a living thing & the spirit of the animals & trees of which the drum is made, live in the drum. When a drum finds a partner , it is a life-long relationship. Drumming can provide solace, relief from anger, courage when afraid, unites drummer with all life form - a single heartbeat restoring balance & harmony, which can heal & soothe the mind & reach our very soul .
